Antiwar League says:
Condoleezza Rice Deserves a Fair Hearing! –
In a Courtroom,
not at a Commencement!
When this war is over, there will be a reckoning!
We view the Iraq war as a "crime against peace" and a premeditated war of aggression -- not just a mistake or an act of crazy leaders. Therefore George Bush, and his close advisors such as Ms. Rice, must be investigated and, if the evidence demands it, tried for war crimes.
"This crime against the peace was a brand new charge, never before seen in international law. American prosecutors, led by Justice Jackson, had a more sweeping view of justice in mind. They saw the supreme crime at Nuremberg not in any specific act of Nazi mass killing, nor in the construction of the death camps like Auschwitz. For American prosecutors, the supreme crime was a completely new criminal charge: waging aggressive war, or the crime against peace."
-- from "The Ghosts of Nuremberg" by Michael Gaddy.
What is the Antiwar League?
The American "War Party," led by the neocons and including virtually all Democratic and Republican political leaders, is becoming desperate. Public support for their insane “war on terror” continues to plummet, and opposition to their interventionist foreign policy is widespread throughout American society.
The antiwar movement is bursting with potential activists from every corner of the political spectrum, from leftists and progressives to staunch libertarians to traditional conservatives and many others. Indeed, historically, the main obstacle to building a formidable antiwar movement has been our own inherent diversity; our unwillingness to put aside our philosophical differences and work together for a common goal.
But the Antiwar League hopes to change all that!
The Antiwar League is 100% nonpartisan and maintains a laser-like focus on one issue. THE issue. We are all antiwar all the time. Our goal is to unite peace activists from every corner of the political spectrum. We say bring all the troops home now and dismantle the war-generating empire of military bases.
The Antiwar League won't ask about your political persuasion. We won't ask your opinions on the burning issues of the day. We won't even judge people who mistakenly favored the war at first, but no longer do. All that matters is you agree it's time to "Come Home, America," and that you’re willing to work with others who believe the same thing.

Featured this week: Conservatives oppose the War
from "George Bush, The Anti-Family President" by Bill Kauffman:
"Behold the perverse and heart-wrenchingly anti-family policies of Bush, Rumsfeld, and Cheney: women reservists, young mothers of infants and small children, leave their families to go halfway 'round the world to act as cogs, expendable parts, in the machinery of the deeply anti-American Empire...
The images of families cleaved by the Iraqi War and occupation should outrage family-values conservatives...the first casualty of the militarized U.S. state is the family...
...the only foreign policy compatible with healthy family life is one of peace and non-intervention.
Come home, America. Come HOME."
from "Bush the Infidel" by Joseph Sobran:
"Now the pictures from Abu Ghraib -- merry American girls teasing naked Arab men, Arab women forced to bare their breasts, and the rest of it -- threaten to undo all the good will we've so painstakingly built up by bombing Arab cities and starving Arab children. Life is so unfair...
Yet Bush argues that the unfathomable rage his war has created in the Arab world justifies the war itself. Every new act of terrorism it provokes proves the need to finish the war on terrorism......
In terms of its original stated goals, the Iraq war is a failure. Bush's foreign policy might be clinically described as autistic -- in its self-absorption, its social blindness, even its linguistic dysfunction. Fate has delivered enormous power to a very strange man."
from "What Does America Offer the World?" by Patrick J. Buchanan:
"What some of us view as the moral descent of a great and godly republic into imperial decadence, neocons see as their big chance to rule the world....
But what universal values is he [President Bush] talking about? If he intends to impose the values of MTV America on the Muslim world in the name of a 'world democratic revolution,' he will provoke and incite a war of civilizations America cannot win because Americans do not want to fight it. This may be the neocons' war. It is not our war."
from "We'll Miss Saddam" by Charley Reese:
"But it really is true that our invasion of Iraq was illegal. Iraq was not at war with us, was not preparing to go to war with us and was not a threat to us...
We committed what international law forbids – a war of aggression...
The U.S. government has supported a lot of killers and thugs, and if it continues its imperialistic foreign policy, it will keep on doing so because our foreign policy completely lacks any morality."
